Abstract

The paper proposes an articulated vision of regulations, especially of treaty law, which apply to School’s Religious Education (ERE). This regulations draws seven legal principles that make up the figure of this institute. Even though ERE is a prevailing reality in most of the member countries of UNESCO, it is a matter of strong political opposition. This is usually projected in legal approaches that posit their suppression. The author points out that proper application of the outlined figure responds to the exercise of fundamental rights, and it would be reasonably sufficient to oppose these adverse approaches. Key words: religious education in schools, education, religious pluralism
