Abstract

In Brazil, the National Council of Justice understood that the presence of religious symbols in the Courts of Justice of Rio Grande do Sul, is legitimate, as decision issued in June 2016.
The resolution agrees with another, from the same National Council and in the case of Rio Grande do Sul, meant the return of religious symbols in buildings and edifices of the judiciary after four years in which religious symbols had been removed as a result an administrative decision of the Superior Council of the Magistracy of the former federal state.
